Glutathione (GSH) is an important molecule that helps your body stay healthy. Glutathione is “a tripeptide consisting of glutamic acid, cysteine, and glycine: important in biological oxidations and the activation of some enzymes” (dictionary.reference.com); all three of these amino acids are found in the human body and in every single cell.

I have heard Glutathione supplements don’t work? And How Can I get More Glutathione?
There are few different ways to increase Glutathione in the body, and the first two are sometimes difficult to do, or may be too expensive. The first way is to take supplements or foods that help increase the body’s ability to make Glutathione. This is basically taking something to promote the increase of Glutathione levels. This can be done by taking specific kinds of whey Proteins (which have to be taken in large doses), or to take a prescribed medication Called N-Acetylcysteine or NAC for short (also known as Mucomyst); both of these only help the body increase the natural Glutathione process. Another way of Getting Glutathione into the body is through needles, injections, and/or intravenous treatments-however this can be painful and very expensive. This also needs doctor prescriptions and supervision. The last, easiest, and most effective way is to take a glutathione supplement.
